Major Compatibility Upgrade Opens Up Tesla Charging Network to Mercedes-Benz EV Drivers in Canada
Mercedes-Benz has made its entire Canadian battery-electric vehicle lineup compatible with the Tesla Supercharger network, bringing unprecedented access to high-speed public charging for owners of the EQB, EQE, EQS, and other BEV models. The brand has officially launched a Mercedes-Benz-approved NACS to CCS1 adapter, enabling current vehicles to connect directly to Tesla’s fast-charging infrastructure.
With more than 25,000 Superchargers now available, this move greatly enhances route flexibility, especially across provinces with uneven charging infrastructure. Canadian drivers can now include Tesla locations in road trip planning, daily use, or urban travel, supported by the adapter’s safety certification and performance optimization.
The Tesla Supercharger network has also been formally added to MB.CHARGE Public, Mercedes-Benz’s all-in-one charging service platform. MB.CHARGE consolidates charging data, availability, and billing across an expanded network that now includes:
- Tesla (NACS)
- FLO
- BC Hydro
- ChargePoint
- Circuit Électrique
With a single digital contract, users gain access to nearly 200,000 public charging points throughout North America, making MB.CHARGE one of the most robust digital charging ecosystems available to Canadian drivers.
For new buyers, the evolution continues. Beginning in late 2025, all new Mercedes-Benz EVs sold in Canada and the U.S. will feature factory-installed NACS ports, eliminating the need for adapters. The transition also aligns with the brand’s expansion of its own high-power charging network, which will bring Mercedes-Benz-branded charging stations, offering both CCS and NACS connectors, to British Columbia in 2025, with further sites to follow across Canada.
